History
Govt. ITI Jogindernagar commenced in the year 2000, offering initial trades in COPA and Plumber with a sanctioned intake of 36 trainees.
Trade Expansion
  • 2001: Introduced Dress Making and Embroidery & Needle Work.
  • Aug 2006: Added 2nd shift for Dress Making and Embroidery & Needle Work under IMC.
  • Aug 2008: Introduced Cutting & Sewing and Hair & Skin Care trades.
  • 2008: Selected for upgradation under PPP mode with ₹2.50 crore funding from the World Bank.
  • Aug 2009: Started 2nd shift of COPA and two shifts for Fitter and Electrician trades.
  • 2010: Added the 3rd shift of Electrician trade.
  • Aug 2012: Started two shifts of Motor Mechanic Vehicle trade under IMC/PPP mode.
  • Aug 2013: Added the 3rd shift of Motor Mechanic Vehicle trade.
  • 2014: Introduced the 3rd shift of the Fitter trade.
  • 2015: Started the 2nd shift of the Plumber trade.
  • Present: Intake capacity of 412 trainees in 9 trades (19 shifts).
Relocation & Further Expansion
  • 2012: Relocated to Dohag, 3 km from Jogindernagar Bus Stand on Sainthal Road.
  • Expanded footprint by acquiring 11-00-07 Bighas of land and constructed Administrative & Workshop blocks along with playgrounds.
  • IMC registered under HP Societies Registration Act 2006 on 14 July 2008.
  • Received an interest-free loan of ₹2.50 crore under Centrally Sponsored PPP scheme.
  • Introduced 7 new trades, added 13 shifts, upgraded infrastructure and constructed a Workshop Block worth ₹1 crore.
