Alumni Services

Government ITI Solan along with its Alumini Association is committed to providing the best and broadest range of alumni services to alumni of the Government Industrial Training Institute, Solan, spread across the globe. Our mission is to connect Goverment ITI Solan alumni to help them succeed in their careers and lives. Some of the Services are listed below:

(i) Placement Cell of Government ITI Solan:- 
The resume of passed out trainees will be put in the Alumini section of the website of Government ITI Solan to give recruiters/ access to thousands of our alumni located across the country/world. Alumni are also requested to help the outgoing students by conducting Campus Interview & providing them job if they are employers and help in conducting campus interview from their esteemed companies/ industries/ establishments in which they are working. They can contact Principal or Training & Placement Officer of the Institution.

(ii) Mentoring:- 
Mentoring is a great way that senior and experienced professionals can help younger alumni succeed in their careers. A mentor is nominated for a student /group of students belonging to one trade. Mentor may just discuss/guide/counsel students in the Government ITI or outside as per mutual convenience. He can, however, also deliver lecture or impart practical training. Mentors are more like role model for students and therefore, should be a good experienced skilled worker. Mentors will play an important role in vocational guidance and career counseling as well as apprising students about latest technologies and trends in the World of Work. Mentorship system should have great flexibility in contact between students and mentor. The contact could even be over telephone. Alumini are requested to give their services as Mentor and they can contact Principal for the same purpose.

(iii) Helping Hand:- 
Helping Hand is an initiative of Government ITI Solan to help poor students studying in ITI Solan. Alumini can help by paying the fee of poor students , providing them books, providing them uniforms or by adopting a poor trainee till he pass out and stands himself by getting suitable job. The helping hand service will also be extended to alumni in need for reasons ranging from a medical emergency to sudden job loss or other such unexpected calamity.

(iv) Distinguished Alumnus Awards for alumni of Government ITI Solan:- 
The first Distinguished Alumnus Awards for alumni of ITI Solan were presented to some of alumni on the occasion of the “Golden Jubilee Celebrations of ITI Solan” on 12th January 2009 by Chief Guest of the function, Honb’le Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. The alumni were given a memento. In future, this will be made regular feature. It symbolizes diligence and perseverance without which there can be no enduring feats of success.

(v) Donation to ITI for its Development:-
Alumini are requested to donate some fractional part of their hard earned money (if they wish) for overall development of the institution. You may choose one of the following priority areas of giving to Government ITI Solan to enable the institute to pursue its goal of maintaining high standards in Training in ITI. 
(a) Institute Development Fund 
(b) Hostel Development 
(c) Student Scholarship 
(d) Construction of Alumni Guest Room in the Institution. 
(e) Any other field you may feel deemed good. 
(f) Library Development Fund 
(g) Workshop Development Fund 

The names of the Donors will be displayed in the website of the Institution and the donors and they will also be honoured in the “Annual Function Celebration Day ” of the Institution.

(vi) Alumni Obituaries:- 
Obituaries for alumni of the Government ITI Solan, will be published on this website in honor of our departed friends and classmates. Obituaries customarily include the following: (1) date and place of death; (2) a brief summary of career; (3) interests, passions, hobbies, publications, honors and other distinctions the alum would have liked to see mentioned; (4) the names of surviving family members.
